In 2016 we received a £8,180 in PE and sports premium grant for Reception to Year 2 (KS1) and £10,500 for Years 3 to 6 (KS2).

This funding has allowed us to provide some excellent opportunities for the children at the school both before and after the school day.

The following sports funding reports outline the breakdown of spend, impact on participation and attainment, and how we plan to ensure sustainable improvement:

Sports Premium Funding 2017-18 Update

In Years 3 to 6 our Sports Instructor and PE Leader Mr Parmenter continues to develop the impressive range of sports offered at our school. This includes an extra ten hours of extra curricular sports clubs a week which sees us provide the children with the chance to try a wide variety of Olympic sports at school. Mr Parmenter also runs holiday club provision and carries out administrative tasks associated with the school’s sports teams and clubs.

Through the sports grant we have ensured that every pupil takes part in at least two hours of PE a week, with many children doing far more. In recent years, three quarters of our children have been involved in a sports clubs during at least one term with over half of the children in the school representing Cheam Park Farm in an inter-school sports fixture in one of our thirty sports teams.

Mr Parmenter has also trained up a team of sports leaders. Our sports leaders are children from Year 6 who are prepared to give up their lunchtimes to run a range of different sporting activities for younger children at lunchtimes. The sports leaders use exciting new resources from the Get Set to Play national initiative.
